Ongrok Carbon-Lined Backpack

The Ongrok Carbon-Lined Backpack looks like a normal black backpack, which is rather the point. Inside, an odour-absorbing lining runs through the body and a three-dial combination lock is built into the bag itself, so contents stay contained and secure without the bag announcing it. The lining is activated bamboo carbon, which absorbs odour rather than simply sealing it behind a zip — so it keeps working through constant opening and closing rather than only when shut.

1000D polyester outer with seam-sealed zips, 16.5 by 11.5 by 5.5 inches, and a padded laptop sleeve — it's an everyday bag first.

How it performs

Padded laptop sleeve, a large front zip pocket, two exterior side pockets and two interior pockets. The lock secures the main compartment, which is the one that matters. It carries a day's kit and a laptop comfortably, and because the odour control is in the lining rather than a separate pouch you don't have to think about it.

Looking after it

Carbon works by absorption, so it has a working life. Air the bag out between uses and keep it dry; don't machine-wash it. Wipe the outer with a damp cloth.
