Hemper Forty Ounce XL Bong

The Hemper Forty Ounce XL Bong is a forty-ounce bottle in borosilicate glass at XL scale — the tall, shouldered bottle silhouette, with the body forming the chamber and the bottle neck serving as, well, the neck. It was Hemper's September 2024 theme, and it's a different proposition from the wide, squat XL shapes: this one is tall and narrow.

September 2024 was a single limited batch, in keeping with every Hemper monthly theme. When it's gone, it's gone.

How it performs

A bottle is a straight tube with a flat base, which is the most conventional bong geometry there is. It takes a standard bowl and downstem, holds a good column of water, and the long neck gives a cool, direct pull. Because it's narrower than the other XLs, it needs a little more care on an uneven surface.

Hemper's XL pieces are a significant step up from the regular releases — taller, wider in the chamber and noticeably heavier. This is a centrepiece rather than a bedside piece.

A note for collectors: the code JWP0924 on this piece is Hemper's date stamp for September 2024. Every theme is coded the same way, so a shelf of Hemper glass is also a timeline, and gaps in it don't get filled later.
